One of my visions for this Daddy’s Girl’s blog is to feature “REAL LIFE” Daddy’s Girls from all walks of life and all background. They are real, down to earth, and honest. They scream transparency. It is fitting that I introduce you to my first “REAL LIFE” Daddy’s Girl Miss Jenifer Young. A radio personal from Detroit. She is a world shaking woman who is flourishing in purpose and running towards her destiny. I hope this interview inspires you in every way possible
Have you ever felt like the visions or goals God gave to you are way out of your reach? Have you ever thought, “How in the world will I ever accomplish that?” Well to be honest, as strange as this may sound, those feelings are positive.
When God gives you a vision it is by default out of your natural reach to bring it to pass. We can never accomplish God’s vision for lives by our selves. We need His help. We must trust Him and depend on Him. This ensures that none of the glory goes to us but that all of it will go to God. Sometimes He will purposely bring you to the place where all of your natural resources have gone. You’ve used up every option card you had. Quite honestly sometimes you can feel like your stranded in the middle of a deserted place of no return. However, it is there that He desires you to turn to Him. (He really wanted us to do it way before then but hey at least the dry, hot, desert got our attention right? it works like a charm) When we make the choice to let go and let God, He has a clear pathway to operate and doesn’t have to compete with our worries, fears, and doubts, i.e our hissy little fits.
Look here sis, the truth is this, what God placed inside of you is beyond you. You just happen to carry it. Because He knew you were a perfect fit. You were THE dress to wear. Trust that God has the answers to bring HIS vision to past in your life. Your obedience to accept it is what matters. If God has given you visions and goals, the best place to start is in His presence. Dedicating time to prove that your committed to the gift He’s placed inside of you. In His presence He will release the blueprints, open the doors, little by little and step by step. With God nothing is impossible, He has our lives mapped out and sometimes we forget that.
Continue the journey of what just became the loveliest journey of your life, the infamous “Faith Walk.”
Don’t give up, but give in to the one who called you according to His divine purpose. How cool is that?!
I was wondering what to write today. But I knew that I had to because I felt a strong urge to. Then I said “hmm what to write about?” Then God said write from the heart. I said, “At the moment, I don’t know what is there.” He replied, “Me” Then I thought wow, even in moments when you feel that all is lost, your dreams are out of reach, and that you have somewhat failed in a sense, just remember that if God dwells in your heart you are winning!
I’ve learned that God will separate you from things that seem so familiar, things you know you’ll be successful at, and close doors that seem promising, so that He can ensure you that He and only He will get the glory out of your life. And we have to keep in mind ladies, when we think we have reached the peek of unreachable dreams and visions, that God is always thinking bigger.
This season may seem like a down season. Friendships may be trailing off, your goals seem to more out of reach each day, and you might even think you are failing God (trick of the devil). You must know that God has not forgotten you. Understand that He’s closer than you realize. When the tears fall, understand that God will wipe them. The beauty of it all is knowing that His word over your life has to come to past. But we must have faith ladies and be obedient in order for that to happen. God gave us choice and free will. Choice is all yours my love. Bobbi Houston, Co-pastor of Hillsong said “There is a whole generation waiting on the other side of your obedience” Agreed much? I totally do.
In the mean time rest in His love that dwells so richly in you….His love that will never fail you….and could never be separated from you…. Your in this to win this my gorgeous sister Romans 8:35
Fear I’ve learned will cripple you if you allow it to. The act of overcoming sounds simple enough right? Just simply do what your afraid to do? But its not that easy. Fear starts in the the mind then resonates in your heart. Next thing you know your body and your every move are being controlled by that fear. However when you rest on the fact that God gives you dominion over it and that you do not have to be subjected to it, there is your solution. Whatever areas of your life that are crippled by fear know that you have full authority over it because you serve a fearless God who can never fail at that. Beat that.
One of my visions has been to unite “Daddy’s Girls” globally. So that the love and hope that God gives and has made available to His daughters would be made known to His girls across the world. Together we can unite and join together and cause a great uprising of Daddy’s Girls across the world. If you are a “Dadd’ys Girl” or desire a relationship with God, I would love to hear from you! Share your story! Share your mind share your vision. Or send prayer requests!
I knew something was missing in my life but I didn’t quite know what. I remember I started seeking out a relationship with God and asking him how it works, praying and seeking to be closer to him. He used my relationship with my father as a blue print to show how this was going to work. I am blessed to have a tremendous relationship with my father. He’s like my best friend. We talk everyday sometimes three times a day. And a lot of times our convos are about nothing in particular, we just talk. He always says “I just love hearing your voice.” When God showed me my relationship with my father, I instantly said “Ooooohhhh I get it” I knew then that God desired a relationship with me just like the one I had with my father especially since He was the one that blessed me to have one . I used to struggle with extremely low self esteem. I never thought I was good enough or pretty enough. I felt like I could never fit in anywhere. But when I realized that God, the creator of the universe, desired a real life relationship with me and that He thought I had worth, and a place in this beautifully hand made world of His, it did wonders for my confidence. It wasn’t something that happened immediately over night. But my eyes started to be open all around. No longer did I have a need for certain friendships and relationships that I tolerated simply because I needed to feel like I had a place. My relationship status with God has been taken ever since
Life interrupted is a must read. I’m currently reading it and its almost as if Priscilla Shirer stepped into my life and offered a solution. Who would have thought those little life interruptions were really divine interventions. You know, those goals we had planned for our lives when in reality God has other plans and as a result our goals and plans do not work? I think we all can relate. Just like a father and daughter relationship right? but even better. This relationship involves your life’s purpose. Your destiny.

Writing is such a beautiful outlet that produces beautiful results. I wrote this poem a while ago for myself. When I read it today it warmed my heart a bit. Also gave me a reminder of who I was. One of the first steps to embracing all God has called you to be is learning to embrace all of who you are. Until you embrace you, you’ll never be able to allow any one else to embrace you.Think about it this way, God created only ONE of you because He knew that He equipped you with all of the qualities and abilities needed to accomplish what He desired to accomplish through you. That is why It is so important to be yourself, because you are beautiful. Think about the hands you were formed in…. wow
